Announcing
2019 Mission Aircrew School
June 28, 29 & 30
Bakersfield, CA
Save the Date
This is the largest emergency services training event we hold each year with over 100 members & 16 aircraft in attendance.
We need a big staff to support the event and this is a great opportunity to get staff training. The plan is, for every staff position there is a standard and a trainee.
We will have 12 openings for Mission Pilots and 12 openings for Mission Observers.
At this time we are taking staff sign-ups only. Please use this link to sign up.
Aircrews
Now is the time to get ready. Please review prerequisites. Each student MUST complete the SQTR to show they are a trainee.
In addition to becoming a trainee all students without exception will be required to attend one of the ground schools, a two day class on a weekend. One in Northern California and one in Southern California, date TBD. Priority will be given to students seeking their initial qualifications.
Mentor Mission Pilots
We will also need 12 Mentors. Mentors must be highly experienced and SET qualified.
A sign-up will be circulated later.
Ground Teams and UDF
We need you too. This is an opportunity to work with aircraft during a search. A sign-up will be circulated later but if you are a Ground Branch Director sign-up with the staff.
Flight Line Marshaller
This is an important job. We need help directing aircraft on the flight line.
A sign-up will be circulated later.
Please note, no other ES activities will take place during this weekend except for AF assigned missions.
Please feel free to reach out to me with questions.
